You could paint them and turn them into an art piece to hang on the walls. If you’re really artsy, then you could paint a picture on them and maybe add a quote or something under the picture. Or if you aren’t super artsy, then just paint it any color and “scribble” on it however you like so then any mess-ups just look like they’re supposed to be there. I think it’s always a good idea and a lot of fun to spice up something old to give it a new use! Have fun!

Color is not the only criteria in choosing stone.You also have to choose the cut and shape of the stone that matches the style of the house or the style you want to give it.

well they do prob. have marbly colors that are grey and green that would be good match lol
but theres prob diff. tones of greys in stone and even white would look good

Stick with the Sony mini DV. I’ve heard mini DV has excellent quality! I could recommend the Canon mini DV camera I have, but you already have a good one.

Sounds like you pretty much have a good idea on the features you are looking for.
Go to dpreview.com and you can compare cameras side by side.
It really seems to me like you need 2 cameras, one for still and another for video.
If the still pictures are not a big deal for you, look into video cameras that can make still snaps as well.
If you want quality still pics, then you will be better off with a digicam. Some of them can shoot quite a bit of video now.
Basically, by choosing a video camera, you will sacrifice still pic quality, and if you choose a digicam with movie capability you will sacrifice movie quality.

Whatever you have mentioned in the question can be availed if you buy a Digital SLR camera. Go to a camera shop, specity your requirements to the person there and compare few similar cameras. Better go for the best camera brands.
